Kimberly Brandt, Director, Director, CEO
Kimberly has long believed that supporting survivors, encouraging caregivers, and remembering those who have been lost is crucial in the fight against cancer.
She brings with her years of experience with the American Cancer Society Relay For Life at state, regional, and local levels in California. Starting as a participant in the newly founded Goleta Relay For Life she saw the value of involvement and awareness in the community. This led her to become a Team Co-Captain the following year. As the American Cancer Society recognized her value she was asked to participate in the Relay For Life California Summit and the California Leadership Conference. Bringing her enthusiasm and newfound knowledge back to the local level Kimberly continued on as Team Captain and Logistics Co-Chair. While leading and speaking at Regional Summits she then took on the role of Committee Co-Chair. During her tenure at Goleta Relay For Life hundreds of thousands dollars have been raised for research as well as support to caregivers and survivors.
Kimberly also has over 25 years of corporate office experience, over 14 of which are in human resources. She has managed and implemented training for employees in the workplace. She had the responsibility tracking and maintaining multi-million dollar budgets for many departments in her corporate positions. Kimberly has participated in and added value to management and leadership teams during her career. She has implemented programs in the workplace to celebrate employee achievements and improve retention. Additionally, she has many years of experience in event planning. Her enthusiastic attitude can be summed up by being awarded the “Ability to smile under any circumstances” plaque given to her by her last employer.
Chris Calaprice – Co-Founder, Director
Formerly an Emerging Technologies Engineering Manager for Avaya Telecommunications, Chris brings strong strategic and “forward looking” tactical planning to the team. With experience building engineering practices, support teams, and deployment teams his expertise in technology and management will allow us to leverage cutting edge technology and apply day to day efficiency multipliers. Chris is a Survivor of Pancreatic Cancer and Melanoma Skin Cancer.
Mike Heiman - Director
Mr. Heiman has over 25 years experience in communications technology, engineering and business management. He has been directing the resources and technology direction for the Nexus team since 1996. His technical expertise and his ability to translate client needs into technology solutions have made him a known leader in industry. As Vice President of Engineering, Mr. Heiman is responsible for the overall technical direction for Nexus , including Pre-Sales Design, Post-Sales/Field Engineering, and Training.
Kris Giles-Hart - Director

President, Co-Founder 4 Kids 2 Kids 4 Kids 2 Kids is a national charitable organization. Our mission is to meet the needs of the less fortunate who slip through the cracks of society. Our goal is to assist where needed, keeping the anonymity of the individual and/or family, and help them return to society as a self respected individual who will be a contributing member of their community
Kimberly Cakal - Director
Kimberly Cakal first became an advocate in the fight against Pancreatic Cancer in 2006 with the loss of her mother to the disease. Unwilling to let the fight go unfought Kimberly first joined forces with the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network where she advocated Congress to keep funding for cancer research a priority and subsequently met Chris and Jen Calaprice and first learned about Road 2 A Cure. Kimberly then went on to become a volunteer with the American Cancer Society’s Cancer Action Network, a lobbying side of the American Cancer Society. She started as a County Advocate and within a year was asked to move up to the ACT Lead position. During her time with ACSCAN she has been to Congress 6 times (4 at the National level and 2 at the State level in NC) and is currently her Relay For Life’s Advocacy Chair and committee member.
Kimberly brings to Road 2 A Cure an educational background that fits in well with the nonprofit sector beginning with a B.S. in Business Administration with an International Concentration and graduated Summa Cum Laude and earned entrance into the Alpha Chi Honor Society as well as Delta Mu Delta Business Honor Society. Kimberly also graduated with her M.A. in Nonprofit Management last May 2013. During her graduate years she was President of the Graduate Student Association and served her internships with the Dusty Joy Foundation for Lung Cancer awareness and education. While interning for the foundation she wrote and illustrated a children’s book called “Dusty’s Joy” to educate people about Lung Cancer and where all proceeds from the book will go to the foundation for Lung Cancer awareness (at this time it is waiting to be published). She was also Co-Chair for their “Cupcakes For A Cause” event. Both of her degrees were earned at High Point University in NC.
Kimberly has already volunteered for Road 2 A Cure when Chris did his tour across the country by hosting a local event to raise awareness and funds. At the same time Kimberly wrote a children’s book called “Christopher’s Big Ride” documenting Chris and Jen’s trip across the country. This book is also awaiting publication and when published all proceeds will go to benefit Road 2 A Cure and pancreatic cancer awareness.
Kimberly is currently the author of “Today I Hugged A Porcupine” ,which has been published, and is also the President and Founder of Fibro My Way, Inc. a nonprofit dedicated to “Empowering and Educating People About Fibromyalgia”.
Kimberly is a passionate volunteer and leader in multiple charity efforts and brings her degree in Nonprofit Management and years of activist and volunteer work to the group. Kimberly works tirelessly to advance many causes and is a true crusader for healthcare issues.

Brown, Koro & Romag, LLP aka Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys is a Nationwide law firm based in Los Angeles, CA with close to 400 attorneys in the US. Our focus is the motorcycle industry and we participate in all the major motorcycle events across the country including Daytona Bike Week and the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Russ Brown created a free program for motorcyclists called BAM, which offers roadside and legal assistance to motorcyclists nationwide, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Audrey markets both the law firm and the BAM program. Audrey creates, implements and facilitates annual marketing strategies and campaigns. She analyzes and pursues new markets and implements new marketing strategies within those markets. Audrey continuously assess the market, including competitors and potential clients, oversees the production of promotional materials and acts as a media liaison for the law firm. She ensures the company is participating with various industry partners to raise brand awareness and successful partnerships within the motorcycle industry.Audrey oversees all marketing efforts designed to drive web site traffic and case leads. This includes being involved in social media, paid and organic search, affiliate programs, partnership marketing/content integration programs, press releases and blogs.
