Introducing Road2ACure, a Charitable Organization

The Road2ACure is: Awareness from which will come Funding leading to Research for early detection, treatments and ultimately a Cure.

Road2ACure is a nonprofit organization founded by pancreatic survivor, Christopher Calaprice, and his wife and caregiver Jennifer.  Its goal is to raise public awareness and funds for pancreatic cancer research through a national awareness campaign…and in doing so change the face of pancreatic cancer as it exists today.

To counteract the misconception that pancreatic cancer is always fatal, Road2ACure is launching a 50 state motorcycle and documentary tour through scenic America to show people the hard truth about pancreatic cancer.  + Read more
To further this effort, Road2ACure will establish annual events in every state using it’s The California Ride as a model to secure the longevity of the impact.  + Read more

Road2ACure does not recreate existing services or efforts, but will raise awareness and focus attention on those efforts and accelerate the rate of change.
It will work to connect people who are currently affected by the disease, and ~37,000 Americans per year that have yet to be diagnosed, with existing support programs.
It will create a forum to connect people who are raising pancreatic cancer awareness and those researching and treating the disease to share their ideas and progress.
It will work to unite and amplify efforts through communication and personal connections on the web, in person, on film, and in other mediums globally.

Awareness is the key.  The successes of other organizations that have changed disease outcomes (such as the national awareness campaign for breast cancer) confirm this.  These examples prove what can be done when grassroots activism, private/public funding, and researchers combine efforts. Through communicating the personal messages and stories of the survivors, caregivers, loved ones, researchers, doctors, nurses, and advocacy groups fighting this cancer we can humanize the efforts and gain support.

Stand up Now - Fight against pancreatic cancer - Join Road2ACure in the fast lane!
