A 50 State Awareness Tour for Pancreatic Cancer

Beginning February 21-October 11, 2009, Chris Calaprice, a five year pancreatic and melanoma cancer survivor, will embark on a 50 state motorcycle tour with a live film crew accompanying him to document the ride. Along the way, Chris and his wife Jennifer, Road 2 A Cure president and driver of "Big Purple" (the fifth wheeler book mobile and sponsor billboard), will organize other rides and rallies throughout the country modeled after the Road2ACure-The California Ride this October 12th 2008.

At the same time, Chris and Jennifer will be visiting pancreatic cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, grassroots activists, policy makers, oncologists, medical centers and local and federal legislators. All of this is being done to drive home the necessity for progress in early detection, treatment and finally a cure.

Chris, who has been receiving chemotherapy since his cancer diagnosis in 2003, will continue his treatment while on the tour that spans over 20,000 miles
